Even if the market continuously grows, Bluetooth still has many things to offer without too many efforts. This device represents the future without any cables and transforming networks into simple ones, but they still need to be matched by Local Area Network.
Some other device that resembles Bluetooth is Infrared and they tightly compete on the market. The Infrared matched many devices but it can not pass through walls or other thing in his way, like Bluetooth does. Also, infrared doesn’t support such a long distance between the devices that he connects, while Bluetooth can connect devices even when they are 30 feet distance.
Bluetooth doesn’t need much energy to work even on long distances. So, if you have a device that is powered by small batteries, Bluetooth will easily accommodate. You can apply it to many things and because it can connect two devices that are maximum 100 meters distance one from another, it can be very useful when you can not reach a lower distance.
Anything in this world has both good and bad sides. There are many advantages of Bluetooth and finding some disadvantages would be very difficult especially when we look at other resembling devices. But still, we have to try finding these bad sides. One of them is certainly the security. Because Bluetooth can connect any type on devices, anyone on a surface smaller than 100 meters can have access to what Bluetooth is transmitting. Also, there is the speed of the data transfer. While his direct rival, the Infrared can transmit data even up to 4 Mbps, Bluetooth can only reach 1 Mbps. This is why infrared still has his place on the market. Infrared offers a much better security because the raze of two devices that connect can fit a person’s sight.
Even if Bluetooth also have some disadvantages, we must admit that they are insignificant and those who have already used it prefer it instead of any wireless device and they know that Bluetooth will remain the best of hi range at least for some good years from now.
